DS FITNESS is a multi-disciplinary personal training, semi-private, and small group fitness studio run by husband and wife team, Dan and Sabra Caron. We understand and appreciate that everyone has unique goals be it to lose body fat, enhance athletic performance, de-stress, improve your bone density or lower your blood pressure. Therefore, our mission as trainers is to adapt and tailor our programs according to our clients' individual health and fitness objectives. We believe in using a multi-faceted approach to training. A session may include Boxing/Kickboxing techniques, Barre, Dumbbells, Barbell lifts, Stability ball core work, Kettlebells, TRX-suspension training, TRX-RIP training and various other training tools. We stand by the adage that abs are made in the kitchen so we provide nutritional coaching based on the Precision Nutrition System. Dan's passion for fitness started at a young age. As a youth, he trained in Shorin Jiu Ryu karate, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and played competitive tennis, soccer and baseball. At 19, he decided to try boxing and was hooked from the beginning by the challenge of stamina and strength that boxing presented.
Through training at Atlas Boxing, he discovered Hookup Muay Thai club where he became a fanatic, enjoying the science of 8 limbs, in which you are able to strike with the hands, elbows, knees and shins. Throughout his 50 bout amateur career, Dan utilized various weight training protocols to keep in battle-ready shape.
Dan has been a certified personal trainer and boxing/Muay Thai coach since 2006. He has diversified his training skills by obtaining certifications in Kettlebell, Resist-a-Ball, TRX-suspension/RIP training and is a level 1 Precision Nutrition coach.

Sabra began dancing at age 5 and her passion for movement was born. Over the years, she studied and performed in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, African, Indian and Middle-Eastern dance techniques. After attending Claude Watson School for the Arts and York University as a dance major, she co-founded Urvieves Dance Company in 2007 with two school mates and performed at various Toronto events including Nuit Blanche and Masal Masti Mehndi.
After 20 years in the dance field, Sabra developed some injuries that were really impeding her performance abilities. After lots of physiotherapy and chiropractic treatment she decided to try strength training and barre workouts as a means of mending her muscular imbalances. This enhanced the quality of her dancing so much that she felt compelled to turn her positive experience into her passion for helping people.
Every training session will contain elements of postural alignment, balance, core strength, muscular endurance and will have some component of stretching at the end. As a mom, Sabra has a special interest in working with pre- and post-natal women, as well as the baby boomer population and people with health or physical limitations.
